'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden major trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would definitely consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
