I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
